Ανακοινώθηκαν η λίστα των υποψηφιοτήτων για τα 98α Βραβεία Όσκαρ σε live μετάδοση από το Samuel Goldwyn Theater στο Λος Άντζελες.
Με 16 υποψηφιότητες το “Sinners” του Ράιαν Κούγκλερ έχει το προβάδισμα σημειώνοντας ρεκόρ στην ιστορία των Όσκαρ. Ακολουθεί το “One Battle After Another” του Πολ Τόμας Άντερσον, με 13 υποψηφιότητες. Η «Βουγονία» του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου συγκεντρώνει 4 υποψηφιότητες (Καλύτερης Ταινίας, Α’ Γυναικείου ρόλου, Διασκευασμένου Σεναρίου και Μουσικής).
Ψηλά στη λίστα των υποψηφιοτήτων βρίσκονται και οι ταινίες “Frankenstein” του Γκιγιέρμο ντελ Τόρο, “Marty Supreme” του Τζος Σάφντι και “Sentimental Value” του Γιοακίμ Τρίερ.
Η τελετή απονομής θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Κυριακή 15 Μαρτίου στο Dolby Theatre του Λος Άντζελες, με οικοδεσπότη τον Κόναν Ο’Μπράιεν.
